Price Restructure 2024

Updated: Jan 31

Please could clients of Carnaby 39 watch the above video, I hope what I am trying to say makes sense.

It is no secret to anyone that things are very difficult for small businesses at the moment. with the energy crisis, increased stock prices to name a few factors.

Setting prices, especially a price increase is always very difficult for salons and freelance stylists. Since i Started out on my own 7 years ago this is only the 3rd time I have raised prices as a freelancer then as a salon owner.

I hope that you can understand that these measures are necessary to ensure the salon is here for many years to come. Carnaby 39 will always use the best products available for the best results. We are the only L'Oréal Professionnel salon in Stonehaven and I am the only L'Oréal colour specialist in the surrounding area.

What we can promise is that when you come to the salon we will give you the same 5 star treatment and make sure that you leave feeling wonderful.

If this increase comes as a stretch too far on your already tight budget then I completely understand. There may be be the option of visiting a different level of stylist or we can recommend a style or colour that is lower maintenance. equally if you decide to cancel your appointment and seek a new salon we will fully support you and can even give you a record of the colours we have used.

Another factor which has been having a negative impact on the salon is cancellations, specifically last minute cancellations and no shows. We absolutely understand things come up unexpectedly. Most of the time a cancellation 1 to 2 days before the appointment is not a problem as it can get filled. More and more however we have been getting cancellations on the day or simply having people just not turn up. This impacts the salon massively as not only is that money lost but also a slot that someone else may have been able to take.

The industry as a whole has followed other sectors in introducing deposits and a cancellation policy. Going forward we will be doing this too.

For all online bookings a deposit will b e required. For all appointment cancellations within 24 hours there will be a fee. For no show appointments the full price of the service will be required to be paid before a new appointment can be booked. We understand this may be unpopular but again its another measure we have no choice but to implement to safeguard the future of the salon.

Our price increase will be from Monday February 12th. We wanted to get January out of the way first. If you have a future appointment booked and after reading you decide you would no longer like to attend the salon simply reply with cancel my appointment to the message sent from our booking system.

Apologies if the tone on this post is negative it is no way intended to be this way. As a salon we are grateful for your custom. Carnaby 39 will continue to give the best service and maintain our high standards. We will continue to be at the forefront of hairdressing technology and trends.

Thanks

Craig
